Welcome to my website, where the theme is living large with less! Allow me to share some of my backstory so you can get to know me a little better. I am a born-and-bred Virginian with a marketing degree from James Madison University. In my professional life I am a writer, editor, speaker, consultant and all-around communicator who helps others live and share better stories. My tools of the trade include a MacBook Air laptop, Microsoft Office for Mac, and Chicago Manual of Style.

I am a big fan of quotes and one of my favorites is by Benjamin Franklin, who famously said, "If you not be forgotten as soon as you are gone, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing." And so to that end, I strive to live a life worth writing about and share my story through words worth reading. For as long as I can remember I have loved language, especially in written form. From prose readings to spelling bees and poetry contests, I even competed against fellow word nerds in school.

While I won ribbons and certificates for other stuff, the turning point for me came when I won $5 in a contest sponsored by our school literary journal. It was then that I got a glimpse of my ability to earn money from my writing. And so it is that I have crafted a living over time working with words. Whether writing or editing creative content for print or online clients, wordsmithing is my calling card. And some of my very best work can be found here, so click on the Blog link to keep reading!
